So, a couple of months before your big day I will send over a wedding questionnaire. This form helps me to better prepare for your wedding, build a timeline, and ensures I don't miss a single thing!

It's important to leave a bit of wiggle room. This is a wedding after all, things don't always go exactly according to plan...and that's OKAY! You want to leave time for things that may take a little longer than expected, so everyone is relaxed and don't feel rushed/stressed.

I've attached a few sample timelines below so you have an idea:

**Please note that this is just a rough guideline to help guide us on a path of how we'll build your own timeline. We will discuss further details of when you'd like me to arrive/leave and what order you would prefer things to go!**

Before I jump into capturing all the getting ready moments, I’ll start with photographing your personal details — the little things that help tell the story of your day. Having these items gathered and ready to go when I arrive helps keep the morning smooth and relaxed.

Please have these items set aside in a designated spot — a small box, tote, or even a shoebox works great! If you're getting ready in different locations, be sure to keep all of the rings (including your partner’s) with the bridal items.

Here’s a list of things you might want to include (don’t stress if not everything applies):

A few extra tips to make your detail photos even more special:

  1. Personal or textured items — Think lace, fabric swatches, ribbons, heirlooms, charms, vintage stamps, trinkets, or anything that feels like you. These little touches add personality to your photos and make them feel even more unique.
  2. Dress hanger — If you have a custom hanger, awesome! If not, a simple wooden one will elevate the look much more than a plastic one.
  3. Bouquet — If your bouquet can be there during this part of the day, perfect! I love incorporating fresh florals into detail shots for a natural, romantic feel.

Once those flat lay shots are finished and your dress is photographed, I’ll start snapping some fun, candid moments of you and your crew!

I usually begin photographing people once they’re almost done getting ready — because let’s be real, no one wants photos with half-done hair or one eye of makeup, right? We’ll catch you at your best — glowing and nearly ready to walk down the aisle.
